One of the most important tools to present Edelény palace island with lots of experiences is the museum pedagogy program that is capable of addressing several age groups. We offer programs not only to the local and regional schools; we also welcome children and young people participating in class excursions. Our goal is to convey new knowledge, while placing the already existing knowledge in a new context and developing key competences, applying the pedagogical methods most suitable for the various age groups. Themes of the classes include rococo murals, the lifestyle and economics of the Baroque era, the life and everyday events of the noble families that lived here (l’Huillier, Forgách, Dessewffy, Eszterházy, Coburg), the adventurous changes of function during government ownership, the disputed issues of the construction history and the role and biology of the Bódva oxbow lake.
